Attorney Michael Montgomery joined the Law Offices of Harold D. Carr in 2005 as a legal assistant. While there, he found a passion for helping people with their problems and navigating complex insurance claims. He attended Willamette University College of Law and began representing clients in 2011 following his graduation.
Michael cares very much for his clients and their cases. Whether a case has a high value or low value, he knows that each case really matters.
A large part of his practice involves mediation. He has been involved in several cases that have resolved very well in mediation which allowed clients to have certainty in case value and avoid the cost and risk of trial. His clients know he cares about their case and that he will not shy away from explaining that some cases are more difficult than others.
Outside of work, Michael spends a lot of time with his family. He has a wife and two children, and a lot of extended family that is local and out of state. He also spends time at church and has helped with the church youth group for over 15 years. He enjoys traveling and running a few miles wherever he can.
Michael has many heroes in his family that he admires for their resilience and character. Historically, he would say Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Dietrich Bonhoeffer, or Corrie ten Boom.
